The position of the holes makes it appear to be a spacer that sits on the rear diff upper ball joint mount. The one I used from Boondox has the same holes but was of a different design that moved it down and back to better the rear driveshaft angle, protect the ball joint and provide for greater articulation. It works great on my wife's Kick. I think Boondox is planning on selling those individually in addition to the ones in their kits.
