I can get some info for you, My brother just
changed his ATF in a 95 4 door and it started
acting up, we just did this about 3 weeks ago.
The trans you have, does it have a stamped
steel pan? if it is, it might be a GM trans, otherwise
it's an Assi/warner and you need to order a valve body
gasket set, the gaskets will flake and be a mess all
over the place, this is what causes many problems, we
found this gasket material all thru the valve body, as
well as worn metal dust from the plates and stuff.
A complete diss-assembly and cleaned everything, blown
out with air, checked and cleaned all the passages and
took apart all pistons and double piston assemblies, dipped
all parts in clean DexronIII and re-assembled.
Trans worked great after that, snappy shifts, no slippage
and feels solid and new, gasket set was gotten from TavoMatic
in El Monte Ca. The owners name is Tavo and was lots of help.
This same trans is used in Toyotas also, so parts are not
hard to get, but they are hard to cross reference.
I'll post more details later when I get the gasket set #
and I can give you the Ph #, problem is they don't ship
so I don't know if you can get them to send it to you or
if you can get it from another, more local to you dealer
