Once you are past the plugs , wires, rotor, distributor cap, things can get rather spendy.
As a first cheap try, I would run a can of seafoam through the gas tank, maybe some seafoam through the brake booster vacuum line and see if that helps. If the miss is steady/constant on the same cylinder and the engines lacking power I doubt the seafoam will help.
Could also try doing a compression check just to be sure the valves,rings etc.. are good.
Beyond the simple things, it gets more expensive the further you go

Fuel injectors could be dirty/clogged or worn out. ECM could be going out as well. Too many things to list. Like I said earlier, start with the basics, which you did, then seafoam, compression check, check the timing etc...
