stock diff and T case gears ?
« on: April 07, 2005, 04:22:44 PM »
I have an 88 Sammy, 30 x 9.5 on it.
All gearing is still stock.
My question is   " To get my power back which should I do?"

I can get 5.12's for front and back for $150. from a guy in our Desert Ratz club.
I think I have 3.73's in there now.
I run the highway alot, will it be too low for highway use.

The other choice is to do the T-case 4.16 gears, which will be about $500.

I don't rockcrawl, just explore the desert near and far from home.

Thx for the info.

most people recommend the 5.12's and 4.16 combo for 33's or bigger.  But for the price of the 5.12's, ya might as well go for it.
I'm running 4.62's and 4.10 T-Case with 31's and my highway speeds are good.  They would be better with a tire like an AT instead of my Swampers.
