Is my crawl ratio low enough?
« on: July 12, 2005, 08:24:50 PM »
I have a gsr2 t-case and 4.10 gears in my 88 samurai. I had 34" LBT's and want to move up to 36" iroks. It did fine with the 34's , wondering about 36's. Anyone run this combo or anything close to it?

I would say it looks a little long in the tooth for 36's, I would be looking into some 5.29's for the diffs.

I Have a GRS2 and toy axles w/ 4.10 gears on 33's.  When I get into rocks and tight spaces I would like a little more gear.  I am planning (money allowing of course) to go to 4.88 gears.  I am hoping this will get me a better crawl ratio even when I plan on going to 35"/36" tire.  After that I think I would go to a 6.1 t-Case before I would regear the axles anymore.  4.10 and 4.88 are the strongest in the toy axles.
