Ok, weird one.

We have a customer with a Suzuki Santana.
The previous owner swapped the XUD9 SD (non- intercooled Turbo Diesel) for the F9Q non turbo diesel.

Rules for modification in Portugal are strict, and this is seen as an engine swap, so has failed inspection,

The workshop who did the mods are quoting 6k euros to put it right - which has peed me off royally. (this is the usual kind of rediculous prices that us immigrants to Portugal get quoted sometimes.

So I’ve taken the job on, and I’m looking for help.
Anyone know these two engines and installations?

I’ve poured over the parts lists, and the transmission is the same between the two, as are the engine mounts. Is this right? It can’t be a “bolt in” swap, surely?
