« on: February 05, 2004, 11:14:14 AM »
Anyone got any tips on how to get the guage cluster out without breaking it?  I tool the bottom screws out and two on top of the dash.  Won't come loose.

There should be two more screws on the side of the cluster, remove those and it should come away.

No screws on the side.  It's loose.  I can't get it past the emergency flasher switch on the top of the column.  I'm afraid I will have to drop the column.  I need to get it out to have trail tough put the reed valve from the Tracker in for the 16 V conversion.

Yep there are two bolts holding the steering column up just loosen them or take them out the cluster will pop right out.

... And don't worry about supporting the steering column.  The cross bar under it will support it while you're working on it.

Back from Trail Tough and ready for the 16V.  We hope to have the engine and trans set in tomorrow.
