:)I had nothing but problems with alt its self went through 3 probable cause gm alt not ment to spin at rpms that most suzuki owners run.   Iwas told  by an auto electric shop(thatitrust)touse dual battery set . comparale price and works.               ÂÂ
Not sure why you had such bad luck unless they were rebuilds using old parts(regulator, diode trio, rotor, ect.).
I had no problems since I put the 100amp one on. I run dual red tops and by doing so they may last longer with winching but when they get low on power, it will take longer to get them up to par than if I had one. This may be to stressful for a stock alternator to recharge 2 batteries. For that reason I wouldn't run dual battery with a stock alternator.
