Hello, I am new here and got the Suzuki bug pretty bad I picked upped 4 sidekicks in the past two week, a 92,95, 96 and a 97.  I am going to build the 96, I was looking at the Altered Ego 4.5 lift, is anyone here still running this lift with any up to date information on it?  I also see the Kreator  lift arms, I cant find a site or where to buy ?  I have also thought about the Trail tough slayer kit but it seems like it maybe better for more slow tech  type of stuff?
We will be driving the Suzuki everywhere, as we race a desert class 10 car in Score and Best the desert, so it will see some chasing and parts running duty.  I do want to do an engine swap at some point, but it doesn't look like there is a straight easy swap, even the 2.3 needs a combo of parts. I would think the Chevy eco-tech would be great in it, but I am not sure about what tranny and transfer came on those from the factory. I do have a complete 2003 VW 1.9 diesel car, but not sure I would want to take it apart, but I might any information on someone still running the VW swap would be great, Thanks. 

ZW had a group that ran a VORRA Class for a few years. We never finished a raced, but those who were more prepared were able to.  Getting suspension tuned on really short offroad vehicles can be hard to do.  Parts chasing had more to do with running roads to get parts up to, or ahead of the race car, than running the course.  And VORRA was strict about prerunning speeds.
I think that the 2.3L swap is probably the most effective and simplist swap to do.  The wiring can be a little complicated, and it is best done with a motor from a car with manual transmission, or you will have a standing communication alarm.  I do not know of anyone able to re-flash the computers so you would be running somewhat stock.  145hp makes Kickers get alon pretty good.
