Well, I finally got around to installing the Calmini 4.24:1 transfer case gears in my spare transfer case this weekend.  The instructions are VERY clear, and easy to follow.  Took about 3 hours, I guess.  In two weeks, I'll install the spare xfer case, as well as my new Centerforce clutch!

No, you remove some aluminum (less than 1/8 inch) with a file (carefully!  I covered the bearing next to where I was removing it, with duct tape, then cleaned it out with a Q-tip coated with grease, THEN cleaned it out with brake parts cleaner.  No machine shop required.  The one bearing I had to pull, I used a screw-type puller on, and everything went back together with a tool I have for seating seals, etc.

They are easy. Ive been doing them in under an hour consistantly. I use a head porting tool for removing the aluminum and I have a press which helps speed the process.
