Painted my front lights and grill :D *Pics*
« on: October 03, 2007, 12:26:27 PM »
I got my new bumper a week ago since the old one was broken.
So when I was painting my bumper I thought of a modification I had seen on other cars but never on a Zuk! Painting the inside in the headlights. And I also painted the middle of my grill. I hated it with the silver middle. Looked like a bumble bees nest!

Here are the pictures:

Seksy.

You get new tires?

weseles...hahaha...no, those definitely aren't factory.  Do a search for his rig and you'll see what all has been done to it.  We've just recently discussed it.

Looks more modern, I wish I could do something like that to my tracker but the headlights are flat and small

Looks nice. Very subtle but adds a very good touch to your vehicle.

Good job.

I think it looks great!  I might copy that.  So how'd you do it?  I'm guessing you removed the whole lamp assembly, and then pryed the clear cover off?  Did that clear cover/lens come off easy or did you have to break any sort of glue/sealer?

I still have to at least adjust mine - they're aimed a litte too low.

Yes I took the whole light assembly off and put it in an baking owen :D
Set it to 150°c and left them in there for about 10minutes...Pretty scary..haha.

Then I took them out, wearing pottholders of course and pryed the lens off. Its really easy after you heat it becouse the sealer becomes gooie and loose :)

After that I took the chrome thingy out of the lense. There are three screws that hold it. Sanded it a little bit and painted it black.

Put the light and lense in the owen again for about 5 minutes and put it back together.. :D

Here is a DIY guide that might help http://www.jlevisw.com/Bake.pdf

Don't know.  There are "generic" rubber fender flares that you could fabricate to fit your truck.
