91 samurai new to board

So I am new to the forum I bought a 91 suzuki samurai jl last fall it had a bad ecm so I got a rebuilt from Rods samurai salvage it started and ran good for a couple weeks but then started taking longer and longer to start until it wouldn't start at all again it cranks over has a brand new battery new plugs and wires it gets plenty of fuel but no spark the odd thing I found that I haven't been able to find anywhere else on any forms is that I am able to get it to start by Jumpstartin it with my running 96 mustang being new to samurais I am not sure where to start with trying to diagnose this problem any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like it could be a coil issue? Just a thought...

Okay so I pulled the coil and ignitor today I don't know what the resistance on the coil is shapose to read and what ohm setting to test it on however orileys tested the ignitor and said it tests as needing to be replaced can someone tell me how to test the coil also if anyone has ever had an ignitor tested by orileys and the accuracy of their machines testing?
