I ordered the motor through a local Suzuki specialist, Hurricane Auto Repair.  They had it shipped from a place in California.  It was $1,100 with shipping.  After we received it, we verified all the bearing clearances and compression.  They were all good.
It came with a 6 month guarantee.

Sorry for my lack of response, but I've been moving and off the forum for quite a while.  The 'kick sold here locally.  New owner is loving it.

As far as the q's on mileage and highway speed, it gets from 15 to 19 mpg and goes up to 70 on the highway.  It lugs down on hills, and goes 45-50 over the high mountain passes.  The new owner swapped in a 5 speed and says the mileage is a little better and the highway speed is too.

Sorry, again, for not getting back to the forum.
