Well I picked this sammi up a few months back and am finally able to get to work. I pulled the body stripped down to the frame and axles and primerd. The first step was moving the rear end 4 inches back by 4 linking it. I did an axle flip on the front to get the lift I wanted until later I will also do a 4 link. Then A buddy had a fuel injected 2.3 ford and tranny for 300 so I couldn't resist. I'll post pics as soon as I can.

Is that the 2.3l turbo from the X4ti?

No its not a turbo motor. I've put a 340 lift 290 duration. Forged Rods and pistons. Stock crank. Hooker long tube header. And Might run a little spray I'm really not sure what kind of wheeling I want to do yet.

I would like to see pics as well. My uncle and I talked about this swap 10 years ago but decided against it because of how tall the 2.3l was.

Yea that's on of the problems I ran into. I lifted the front suspension and am lowering the engine mounts. For some reason it wont let me load pics from my phone so bear with me. O update I 3 linked the rear axle

There is a guy here in Oregon that's got a 2.3-turbo in his Sidekick. He was on the WARN Employee snow run a couple years back.

I had to move the transfer case back a few inches so thats what i am doing.
The other pic is my 3 link set up pretty basic and easy to do.

one thing i dont like is the height of the engine I've lowered it down as much as im comfortable with. The wieght is a little more than what i want but the power to weight  ratio will make up for it.
