Sorry I dont recall, i just took a bolt from the Reese kit to the fastener store and let them figure it out lol. I live in northern Ontario (Canada) so we have lots of slush and salt on the roads and that means rust.

A battery terminal cleaner and pb blaster also work to clean up the threads in the threaded inserts as good as or better than a tap does.  My retarded butt cross threaded an insert with a tap.
