I have one too and I have to say it's an excellent foundation. I have done quite a bit to mine too to get it just the way I want. Recently did new shocks all the way around. I rotated the rear pinion up and am in the process of putting in the SYE and CV drive shafts. To do this you have to put in all new shock mounts cut off the spring mounts top and bottom and rerun the ebrake cables etc etc etc.. It's actually quite a bit of work to do this radioactively.. If you plan to run the SYE and CV drive shafts make sure you set up the rear axle this way first.. The only reason I am going to go to a CV drive shaft is to get ride of a drive line vibration that I have on the highway.. I tried just about everything to get ride of it and no luck.. It a coasting vibration.. Only happens when I am not accelerating or decelerating.
couple things l think should have been included.. PS box frame reinforcement. Bump stops. Taller springs.. I have one of the early kits and I think the front pan hard bar has been improved.. I ripped mine off the frame.
The way brent sells the kit is all down travel. I like to go fast and that doesn't really work well on bumps/rocks over about 2" So I am running 14" 250Lb coils in the front and 18" 125lb coils in the back to give me about 5" of uptravel..
The other thing I don't like about the kit is the sub frame that all the links mount to.. I wish this was more like the samurai version. and tucked up better. It lowers you center ground clearance considerably and there has been several obstacles that this has gotten in the way.
So plan your kit out and see if you can get it with out shocks and coils and source your own depending on how you want to set up your truck...
It takes your rig to a whole new level of capability..
