i have a '92 sidekick 4 door with fuel injection. it has  sat unstarted, now i want to run it. it will start on starting fluid but not on gas. so far new battery purchased, removed fuel filter at tank, cranked engine with fuel line open where fuel filter was unhooked, and didn't see any fuel come out. put three gal of fuel in thank just to make sure ( tank shows half full ). getting ready to blow out fuel line from under the hood back towards tank to make sure it is clear. does anyone have any ideas or suggestions.

thanks,

First place i would start is verify that the pump getting electric power...place the ignition switch on run and listen to heart any pump sounds from gas tank.

great answer! i had been listening for the click from the dash area and since i was alone didn't think about listening for the electric pump sound at the tank. tomorrow i'll get someone to turn the switch while i listen at the tank.
thanks for the tip
