I boxed in the open sections of frame at the front then welded the brackets to the frame, and added a supporting strap of 1/4" steel under the bracket to further tie it to the frame. I think that flat part is just sheet metal and may tear.

Has anyone fed a pipe through the tube that is already there?  and then secure the tow bar arms to the end of it?

Here is an out of focus shot of a tow kit.  It uses the tube that is there to secure the arm, then it has a bolt further back that goes through the frame to keep the tow bar from rotating.  I believe there is a spot on the frame already there.

well talked with a buddy of mine that flat tows a 4 dr and i have decided to go with his suggestion.... i'm going to use the round tube inthe front (the one that hold the lower a-arms ) i'm going to weld 1 1/2"X1/4 flat bar to the tube and get a piece of  1 1/4" or 1" flat bar drill holes and weld nuts tighten all together and WHAM i'm set  ;D ..if it sounds hokey please let me know as i'm doing it this weekend  then towing it 700miles north from where i live
