Key on power would be you use a test light at the fuse block, tho I have
power on with key at the lighter socket, not sure on your truck,
the pressure should be 3-5 PSI for most carbs, what is a CV carb?

The lighter socket would normally be ACC ON rather than KEY ON - depending on why you need it, it could make a difference - seeing as the subject line was electric fuel pump q's, I assume he wants to power a fuel pump, ACC ON would not be advisable - the easiest place to find KEY ON is - ta-da - the ignition switch itself.

There are other places, but since you haven't identified the vehicle - that limits the scope of our answers.

A CV carb is a constant vacuum - also known as constant depression - for US & Canada, think Harley Davidson (the MYSIDE conversions), or if you're UK or similar, an SU or a Stromberg CD.

Ohh, those carbs, didn't know they called them that thanks :)

And now I think about it the lighter socket powers down while cranking
so ya, not a good spot for a fuel pump
