The way the lights work on our Suzuki's is quite backwards to American
thinking, or rather European thinking in general, the head lights will always
show hot with a volt meter, because they are, and the switch grounds the
circuit which turns them on
If you use a 12v test light in between the ground terminal and the cable
you might be able to see some glow which would indicate a small current
draw, which would be normal as the earlier posts mention
