hi guys. i have a 1995 1.6 8valve vitara and i am trying to built it for competiton. for carburetor, 40 twin weber carbs suggested. however, some of my friends telling me that these carb are fit horizontal and i can not get good performance from engine in offroad.

do you have any suggestion for carb modification and also how can i change my engine 8 valve to 16 valve ? (or making my engine 2.0 can be a better idea ?)

to go from 8v to 16v find a good doner swap the motor wire harness and ecm that would be a easy swap

if you go to a 16v its fuel injected no carb to mess with and more power

its hard to find a donor. any suggestion about carb ?
