Help with rear calmini trackick bumper
« on: May 06, 2011, 11:14:05 AM »
I am wondering if anyone that already has one on their rig could send me some pictures?  I have no body lift and am wondering how hard it would be to modify the mounts.  I have all the tools I would need.  I could build one, but I like the look of them, it would match the front, and I have very little free time.  You can email me them or post it here.  Thanks
Brian

Are you worried that it won't fit without a body lift?

I'm just wondering how hard it would be to mount it on a rig without a body lift... and still line it up correctly.

It should bolt right up.  Most bumpers are designed to go on stock rigs, it will say in the description if it's been modified or designed to run with a body lift.

Is this the double tube rear bumper?

No it's the plate one with a swinging tire carrier. It only comes for a body lifted rig. That's the issue I am concerned with.

Hey Brian, When I took the body lift out of my Green Sidekick, I just redrilled the 'adapter' bracketry and remounted the bumper. It was not a problem. Now, I don't know for sure if the production version has the same bracketry but I would assume it does and if that's true, it should not be a problem.
