1.6L 16v rocker spring clips
« on: April 18, 2011, 02:08:32 PM »
Machine shop says two of my 1.6L 16v rocker arm spring clips are broken and I need to source replacments.

Any suggestions where to shop?

Are these available seperately?

DOes anyone have a Chevrolet part number for them?

Hey Whit, I once lost a valve keeper when doing valve guide seals, and was able to order the replacements directly from a Chevy dealer. I imagine you could try a local Chevy dealer, especially since it also fits an S 10 pickup, which is weird.

New oem chev clips are now found but 4-days out ~ if I order them tomorrow.

(Dunn NC / they must be shipping parts on Horse and buggy now)

I've got (2) dead motors to check in the am ~ Looks like Bullwinkle might have 1 clip in his stash.
