Chain is heavy. get a strap. I don't know with the 1.6 but T-case gears were the best thing I've added in a long time. A Hi-lift jack but only if you have something besides the stock bumbers to jack on. Full size D handle shovel and an ax.

Put in the T-case. I changed mine in a Del Taco parking lot.(snowing at my house). Took maybe an hour. As for the hooks, Your choice. If I plan on being out all day or going way in, I always bring my backpacking stove with food and water. It's easier to work on a bad stuck situation or breakdown if you have a full belly and a cup of coffee. Wintertime I bring extra clothes and a sleeping bag in case I have to "camp" out

To echo what others have said, get a strap! Warn makes a number of them; you can see what we offer here:

And if you're using a strap, you'll likely want a couple of shackles, too.

Since you can't really use a Hi-lift on your Sammi (yet), MAKE SURE that your jack can actually do the job BEFORE you need it. I carry a 10 Ton bottle jack that can raise my Bronco up enough to change out the 35"s it is on, and a piece of 3/4" thick by 12"sq plywood for a base to set the jack on, since mud absolutely sucks when trying to use the jack. don't forget the handle for the jack ( ::) ) and maybe a few extra lugnuts.  A tarp for groundcover is also nice, and can be used for other needs, such as a tent, to wrap up things, etc...

As for the tire pressure, everybody will most likely have a different idea, so I would start at around 12-15psi, and go from there as YOU feel comfortable. Don't forget some thing to air the tires back up with.

Everything that fits, ;) then pull it all out a couple times a year to clean it all, replace anything that expired, then put it all back. :P It's amazing the crap you think you'll need, that never moves from it's storage area. But hey, better to be prepared than the guy going "shit! I need a ( insert appropriate do or die item here )! " jmo

There was a post a few months back on everyones trail kit, what all they carry with them.  I forget which section it was in though.

I always carry a strap with a couple of hooks on it.  While they aren't the strongest it's a lot easier to use if all anyone needs is a quick tug.

I ran into the same post and looked for it about an hour.  Needless to say I didn't find it.

Found it.
I spent an hour looking for it, can't find it, post it, then run into it.
