Hello i was wondering if i made my 3 speed automatic a manual  would the computer work ,  i believe i read that it would and engine breaking would be better but now i cant find the forum   i dont know anything about the computers but i could probably source one from a manual somewhere   which would be a better bet i would assume but im in highschool and tryin to do alow budget build and dont want to spend more than i have to   thank you

It's a 3 speed not a 4 speed in your trucklet?

I personally like the auto for wheeling, it allows you to shift faster, not stall
and concentrate on your driving instead of the gears.

The auto ECM will work ok.  I don't know that it will change the engine braking characteristics any though.
