Body Lift
« on: October 19, 2010, 02:20:44 PM »
What would i need to do a body lift the right way? I have found several kits. Will I need new body bushings, longer shocks, etc.?
I know I will probably have to extend the shifters!

I am pretty sure the shocks are not mounted anywhere to the body (I don't feel like double checking that right this minute sorry) how tall are you wanting to go? as far as I know if you get a kit then everything you need will be in it (never done one so could be wrong) as long as you don't go over 2-3 inches then I think your shifters would be ok they would just not stick up as high into the cab so then it would be a matter of can you still reach them comfortably from the drivers seat.

You can go up to 2" before you need to start modifying things.  I'm not a big fan of body lifts myself, I think the 2.5" OME springs or a SPOA lift are a better fit for Sammy.
