Geo Tracker project
« on: October 10, 2010, 11:37:05 AM »
so here is my plan let me know any suggestions you all might have or any problems you forsee.

gunna start with a two door geo tracker as a base for the build. want to do a solid axle swap (toyota axles).
havnt decided on a donor motor yet im thinking either a supercharged 2.0l or a smaller diesel motor.

now the only solid axle swap kit i can find is the trail tough kit.  anybody know any info on this kit or any others?

not sure on gearing yet i know im going to run 35's possibly 33's.

im new to the tracker/sidekicks, built plenty of offroad buggies and trucks though.

so any info you guys can help me with is greatly appreciated.

thanks Ryno

Ryno,
I am running a slightly modified version of the Trail Tough Kit and it works awesome. You will not be disappointed with your purchase if you go with their kit..... We did a Suzuki V-6 in mine (and many others have too) and love the result. With the proper transmission you can keep your stock T-case.

Check out  http://zukiworld.com/month_020109/feature_suzuki-sidekick-build-up.htm for more info that should be helpfull in your project (very similiar to what you seem to be planning)
