Can you guys show your  tow hitch in a picture and brand. looking to buy one. I have a GV 2000

IIRC, there are already nuts welded in place on the chassis at the rear.. take a look from underneath.

A DIY hitch using those should be pretty easy.

Getting one of the Curt class III right now.  Actually should arrive today.

I have a no-name (was painted over) Class I hitch if anyone's looking.  Selling it cheap, comes with a tongue and 1 7/8" ball.  Dirty and surface rust but solid.  Lemme know if anyone is interested.

I went with the Reese.  It installed easily with 4 bolts, although the nuts that are already welded in the frame were so rsuted I had to re-tap them. Fits nice and tight to the bumper/gas tank area.

Did the install of my Curt Class III (JC Whitney) today. Took about 30 minutes working by myself. Hitch lined up with the threaded bolt holes with no problems.

........took less than 5 minutes.........the connector is in the jack storage door.....plain sight.......just plugged in!!!!!

I actually installed my Curt Class III hitch today as well.

Was slightly disappointed to find the holes didn't line up.  I did however figure out it was because one of the mounting flanges was curved inwards slightly.  A bit of back strain and some 2x4's later I had it close enough I was able to muscle it on.  Dunno if it was a manufacturing defect or just it had something heavy sitting on it in the warehouse, who knows.  No visible marks or creases so I figure whatever happened happened slowly and not an impact.
Little surprised it came with 8.8 bolts and not 10.9 bolts but I can fix that later on.  I just need a hitch this weekend.

On my old one I installed a U Haul hitch. I wanted a 2in but this is all they had on hand and I didn't feel like waiting. It included the bolts to install. Just like said above the nuts are welded on the frame.  Very easy took 10min or less.

I put on a Uhaul class 3.  About $120.  Install easy.  remove tie down hook from frame, attach with 4 bolts into existing threaded holes, torque to specs, and voila!  Pulls the full 1200 max tow (per manual), and can handle a platform cargo carrier.  The class 1 will advise to not use for a receiver bike rack or a platform, but only for towing small toys like a jet ski.

I put one of the CURT class III 2" receivers on my 2002 Tracker.  I had the same experience as AJMBLAZER that the holes didn't line up quite right.  It took some serious leverage and many choice words, but eventually I got the bolts started.  That was two years ago, and it's held up very well since.  I'm especially impressed with the powder coat finish.  Aside from the tube where the stinger goes, there's no rust yet.  Heck, the CURT sticker is still on it.  Sorry, no pics here at work . . .
