So a rubber gasket would be reusable, right?  Compared to the one-time use cork gasket.  That's the biggest advantage I see (besides looking bitchin'  )

The gasket usually stays in the groove in the valve cover, so yes, it is reusable....I have never had to replace one on a metro cover.

i have that valve cover, looks pretty thats all.  i ran a hose out of the other hole to the PCV valve.  that hole you pictured i used to have plugged but recently put a small K&N filter into it to make sure i have proper venting.
