Cool crossing. Is that a Turbo spooling as your trying to get out at the end?? Sounded cool.

Also it looks like you brought an inflatable tube incase you got stuck. ;)
Difficult takes a day. Impossible takes a week.

Snorkles do have a purpose in some parts of the world.  :)

Yes that is the turbo spooling  , and yes  a snorkel is a needed especially in this case.A snorkel comes in handy in dusty conditions as well, keeping the air intake high from  the road dust .At the beginning of video  i was floating and after the transferbox gear stick gaiter burst the water rushed into the cab at a get rate (20 inch fountain in the middle of the seats) the sj sunk to the bottom and i was able to drive. The water level reach about inch below my nipples  and  a couple of inches below the fisherman waders i was wearing  a cheap nasty pair i  bought from a discount store   only a tiny leaked  in one foot ..derk

I love it, I have a website that we do a series of "I sunk my Junk" the difference is they are usually Jeeps and Trucks and they have to be pulled out, every time. Not as much water either.  This is what I do with my Samurai

I bet you go through a lot of dielectric grease!

No dielectric grease , starter motor sealed with silicon mastik the stuff used on window frames and door frames, alternator mounted high up as possible , I  rinse the alternator with clean water if it has been through muddy puddles but if it is just river crossing i leave alone ,,,, had to strip the alternator down a couple of times over the years . The engine is a diesel  so no electric to speak off really. All the other chassis electrics i just rinse of with thresh water as soon as ..It is muddy water and thick mud that seems to cause most problems ... derkiow
