Fuel & water gauge!

I have a 1988 Samurai that Fuel & water gauge don't work! i check the fuses, wiring i get no power to the int. panel.

Does anyone have suggestion why the don't work?  im thinking it could be the seser & the sending unit my samuray was seating for 5 yrs tell i finish it!

If both are out it is usually a grounding issue.  One way to check if it is your sender is to drop the tank and check the resistance from the sensor in back.

For your temp gauge it would be similar.  Find the temp sensor on the block and see if the resistance changes when it warms up.

Volt/ohm meter is needed.  also look at all your wiring in the dash area, and just in general.  clean up any connections, repair damage if needed, and it SHOULD work.
