Aside from using a Vitara/Sidekick ARB bumper on a 2001 Grand Vitara and modifying the mountings, has anyone attempted to adapt an ARB bumper meant for another brand to a 01 Grand Vitara body?

My buddy put a sidekick ARB on his 2002 VL&. He did have to did a mounting mod but everything else fit great. you might even want to check directly with ARB, they may sell an adapter plate. Knowing ARB the adapter plate would be $1000.00...plus $150 for shipping.
