got the 90 Geo for 150 bucks. been calling for random parts and at junk yards the shits expensive.. been hitting up the scrap yard tho and have gotten all kinds of shit for dirt dirt cheap.  the real question is does the 16 v clutch cable the same as the 8??? mine i believe has 2 bolts and i think the 16 is only one bolt.. And is there anything else that i can get off that thing or is it just the small dumb stuff that's the same???? thanks

The 16V and 8V use a different type of cable.  And while I have never tried it, I would bet that you could use either cable on either vehicle/engine as long as you use the proper clutch cable bracket that mounts on the side of the engine.  They both use the same tranny (5 speed, that is) and tcases (no matter what tranny it is behind...manual, 3 speed auto, 4 speed auto).
The intakes and heads are different.  They share the same blocks, clutches, flywheels, water pumps, alternators, ps pumps, ac compressors.
So there are several things that interchange, but there is a lot of stuff that doesn't either.  So if you want to know if something specifically interchanges, let us know what you are wondering about and we can probably tell you.

Generally, if you take the whole part with all of it's bits and
pieces and move it over to the other engine it will work, this
works for 16V pistons in an 8V engine, but not 8V pistons
in a 16V engine, but other than that the engine family is
the same in the base parts

This explains a poster's problem over on suzuki-forums.com. his clutch cable did not have the two adjuster bolts that many posts/FAQs (oh-oh) and FSMs (most notable the '96 Tracker FSM) show in pictures/diagrams.

Right.  I believe it is an 8V vs. 16V difference and not a 2 door vs. 4 door difference.  Meaning, the type of cable/cable bracket you have depends on whether the trackick has an 8V or 16V engine, not whether it is a 2 door or 4 door.  But then again, I am most familiar with the 4 doors that have the 16V and the 2 doors that have the 8V.....so take it FWIW.
