Jimny front bumper problem

hello
i got a Suzuki jimny 2000
the bumper is very low, what can i do to arrange this problem?
i have see allot of jimny that they have cut the bumper but where do i put the license number ? i cant put it on the grid because no air will flow to my engine .
metal bumper is not an option due to the money cost :X

Stick on plate on the bonnet? not legal in the UK but nobody seems to get stopped for it. A proper plate on the grille is used for the MOT  ;)

The radiator will still get plenty of cooling air if you put
the plate over the grill, air will get in from under the truck

and if i still dont want to put the plate on the grill is there any other solution?
and Rhinoman , i have checked this solution and its not legal here in Israel :X and the cops stop car's for that
