I just got another tracker. Its a 95 5speed with 34's and  what I believe to be a Samurai axle in the front. The steering is broke and the coils are too weak so the shocks are getting dented on the inside. I need some "professional" opinions on what I should do with this thing. This is my first vehicle with a straight axle and I'm not sure where to start.... Also this thing has an unfinished 4 link in the front with only  the 2 lowers. I'm still researching on how to properly link the top

For some better input and advice, post up some pics of your currnet set up. There are many SAS set ups on the forum, I'm sure someone can help.

I'm in Ohio myself, but dont think I would classify as an "SAS professional." Most of the Suzuki grps seem to be around Cincy area, at least thats probably the biggest concentration. I myself am located...well you can check my profile if you care....

Really, like Zukipilot said, post some more info on this board. I'm sure you'll get answers.


If your unfamiliar with four link, continue researching, there is a lot to learn. Also go through all the builds you see and see how others did theres, there are lots of builds on this site and others.

    Sorry guys couldn't get pics uploaded. It kept saying an error had occured. If anyone wants to share some straight axle info please pm me. Chris    My panard bar is broke and pulled out of the frame, needs welded or relocated. I need advice on different springs, my springs are too soft and I believe thats what made the panard bar weld break off the frame.  I also need to finish the upper links on the 4 link, I'm just unsure on the best placement for those.  
     In the rear the Monster Track still has the a arm link  in the middle if the axle but its maxed all the way out just sitting there. I'm unsure if I should put a spacer to bring it back to level or put 2 more indepndent links.
     The Monster Track is pretty big. The hood is about 5 feet high, the front clip is gone with the exception of the hood, its fully caged around the front end and motor and the upper rear shock mounts are in the back seat area build onto a cage with the gas tank.   Again sorry for no pics. I have no internet or computer at home so I have to use friends computers,   talk about a pain!! If anyone could shoot me some ideas I'd appreciate it!!!

Yeah I think a heim or johnny joint for your rear link, like Jawman said, is a worthwhile mod. I think the "wishbone/aarm" in the rear performs quite decently and I dont think I would mess with it yet. Just make sure it is spaced accordingly to your lift, for a quick fix you could always try a spacer. If it is as you mentioned "maxed" out you have limited your travel, and more then likely stressing that joint.

You might also think about rotating the axle. I was really pleased with the results I got from this simple Hagen mod. Check it document here in archive...

Of coarse this is assuming you are running the factory links and factory axle. As far as your front goes, well its hard to say where and what to link too...Here is a link to Lowrange Offroad build, where they utilize the Trail tough kit. This is a nice kit, and it might give you some ideas....
