Hey yall, im new here, and thought id post up a few pics of my zuki. i still want yota axles, spring it over, roll cage etc., but its a lot of fun as it is!

We've been doing SOA for years here and it gets harder to find tough trails...the more you build the easier it gets to wheel.
I'm the first one to drop my rig to SUA and run 30" tires. I did it due to the cops getting bad on lifted rigs but it's a blast. Im still doing all the same trails and some trails that Jeeps need at least 33's to pass. Everything is a challenge and a blast. Getting lockers in both and now running 512's...a little low on the road but I'm not in a rush. After owning an LJ I found that driving 70km/h gets you there only a few minutes after going 90k's....a few minutes is not  that important.

The only negative is trying to keep out of the big ruts in the mud holes.

I just think i need more frame clearance. the body lift it ok- it lets me fit 31x10.50s but i was playing in a creek last thursday and the frame scraped on a few rocks. not to mention the high water about (2 foot deep-- not sure what these measurments are in metric) i want to spring over and ditch the body lift. i think both would make it way to tall and top heavy. the cops around me dont care how high it sits, they only worry about the rice burner "tuner" cars.

take out the body lift and do a SOA....add a nice heavy play and re-arch all the packs. You'll end up with about 5-6" of lift. I've fit some 33's with this lift.

Don't forget that you'll have to fix steering issues, cross over steering, and watch the angles on the drive line.

i dont really want to run 33s now, i dont think it would spin em lol
but i do plan on ditchin the body lift.
im going to measure all my angles before i take it all appart and correct the rear for the spoa and i guess im going to have to set the front at the stock angle to keep my steering in check. was also going to make a "z'd" drag link from pitman arm to steering are on the axle. i saw somewhere that mercedes arms can be used for high steer but idk.

like you said, make sure that you keep the front at the same angle....otherwise you'll hate driving fast. Long shackles can make some issues at the same time.

big tires cost alot of money, big tires need big power to turn, big tires break alot of parts(less time to wheel) and the most important thing....big tires need big trails to get challenging.....little tires just need better drivers and you'll find that it's alot more fun.

im running 31x10.50s now and i think they fit it well size and power wise. some say that tire is too big, some say too small, but personally i think its just right for mine. still an affordable tire and gets ground clearance.
