I dont mean to down anyone but I doubt this guy can build a properly hardened, and tested gear for cheap. I dont have exact #s but I remember talking to Calmini about T case gears before they were availible. I want to say they had close to $30,000 in machining,  prototyping, testing, and man hours. Thats why they cost so much and thats why they are so durable. How many sets do you think Calmini has to sell before this becomes profitable? If you do the math you will realize that this was a part that just had to be built to sell the rest of Calminis line.

4 to 1 too low? Wow, I havent heard that very many times. Top speed in low range( 4.23 to 1) is 25mph. If you need to go faster why not just use high range? I would like a 6 to 1 like the samis but I dont think its possible in a kick case.   :'( I never thought I would want a case that low untill I had one, now I want lower. :-/ I use 4 low for dunes too without any problem. Yea I use 4th and 5th but at least I have that option.

Ya I think the 4:1 is too low.
RockCrawling great, desert
Higher speeds too low.

You just want 6:1 so you can

pardon my ignorance, whats r&p?  and yes, I'll inquire about rear end gears.  He makes custom gears for dragracers if the factory ratio is not good enough, kind of a tweak, so I would assume that if an 800hp engine running on slicks can take his gears then my little 96 hp sunrunner better work.

And if you need it in the UK or anywhere else, I'll get a set and ship at cost.

r&p = ring and pinion or rear end gears.

Ill bet that an 800 hp engine has bigger gears than a trackick too. Im not saying its a bad idea or anything. I just think people should get more info about the quality of the product. Cheaper does not equal better. If I sell a 4 to 1 for $10 how many people would be interested? BTW they will only last a month or so... still interested? I mean no ill will to bandit86 and a possible new gear set, so I hope nobody is taking it that way. Sounds like their are people who are interested. Just be sure to test extensively before releasing it.

no hard feelings indeed. you absolutely get what you pay for, you're righ.   but 1000 for a set of gears sounds an awful lot more than it should be and that to me sounds more like a ripoff.

check out his website at

racegearbox.com

gears are 8 weeks, design to finsish, were still in the beginning stages.

He does make ring & pinoin gears, but cant guarantee anything past what we already have.

He does send it out to get it heat treated and shot peened by a proper facility.
