HYPEREUTECTIC 10.1 PISTONS
« on: May 04, 2009, 08:16:13 AM »
For those looking for a little more, new 10.1 pistons (flat-top, H.C.) for the 1.3. More compression for the g13a or b. Also the fact that they are hypereutectic means they are stronger than cast!!
Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some freakin' muscle.

No it doesn't. Hypereutectic means that it has a relatively high silicon content - it doesn't mean that its not cast. Do you have any details? I tried the website but it seems that nearly all the links just open the homepage in yet another window  ???.

How much stronger?

63.4567% stronger,,,,,,actually i dont know. A very good question, ill ask the manufacturer. from my personal experience hyper pistons have always had a better look, feel, and over all better apperance. Its common for stock pistons to crack and loose the lower portion of the oil ring cast, resulting in major oil consumption. This is oviously w/ high mile motors. UNFORTUNATE PART.......I CANT SELL ANY OF THESE TO YOU FOLKS UNTIL I PAY TO ADVERTISE ON THIS SITE. ITS NOT FAIR TO THOSE THAT DO PAY, AND I WANT TO PLAY BY THE RULES. 8) :P
