What is better for minimal off road driving with a Sami? Over the top steering , Z link or a drop pitman .I am doing an OTA with 2" shackles , 33X12.5 tires . will only be off road on some weekends in the Ozarks.

Do you drive it on the street?
Or is it just a trail rig?
If its just going to be a trail rig and you don't really care about how its turning, a Z-Link would work fine.
But the all around best way to go would be Hi-steer.  You could either go full hi-steer or just the stage one style where your drag link is the only one that is raised up.

Do you have any sort of power steering?  I used to drive a sami around with 33s and no P/S....it was fine when moving at higher speeds, but town driving was a little different.

I drive both back roads and streets. Power steering is my next project after the lift. I don't think the steering will be much different than my 16 year old sons 88 Sami with 295 X 60 X 15s. I did a SOA on it last year. He only does street driving.

Pretty much if your just doing light duty wheeling you would be fine with a Z-link.  If it sees more trail, I would at least get an OTS stage 1 hi steer.

when we did our spoa we just made a Z link, even with 235's and open diffs we had lots of bump steer. i'd got OTs, we got a breeze kit. it works great.

Just went with Sky's full high steer & love it. An hour long change over if correctly installed the first time(one too many vodka/cokes). [/img]
