Lockers for Trackers
« on: February 23, 2009, 06:33:46 PM »
Does anyone here have personal experience, or know for certain, what lockers will fit into 2nd genTrackers rear differentials?

I'm thinking that while I'm screwing around with changing the R&P ratios I may as well install one of these into the rear while it is out as well.

I've checked out the Detroit E-Z locker site.   They have one listed under "Suzuki, 26 spline axle".  Is it a huge leap of faith to "assume" these would fit a Tracker differential?   E-Z lockers sound like what i have in mind (good for up to 34" tires)

End state:  I would like the locker to have decent road manners (no spools).

In the near future I will be installing the Detroit Locker I had in my 97 Sidekick (the diff was from a 93 Sidekick though) in my 01 Vitara. I'll post how that goes.
97 Sidekick 4door 5 speed, 1.5 spacer lift, 2" body lift, CJ rims, locked rear, 31's, 4:1 low <SOLD>
01 Vitara 2.0L 5 speed, 2.5" Calmini lift, 2" body lift, Sidekick rims, locked rear, 31's, 4:1 low, 5.13 diffs <SOLD>
03 XL7 2.7 5 speed, 4.5" AE lift with OME springs, 2" AE body lift, 5.13 diffs, 3:1 low, 235/80R17 BFG AT's on Ultra 17x8 with 1" spacers, skid plates, Balmer Fab front bumper

Been running a lock-rite in my 99 for a couple years now without any problems.
