New Carb

New Carb

I am have trouble with my stock carb and thinking about going to a weber. Does anyone know of a good dealer and part number.  Has any one tried a Holley 350 CFM?

Holley would/could be an option...I went old school, 1971 Rochester 2-barrel

Just get a junk-yard carb & rebuild it. It'll be way cheaper, and flow the same. A lot of JY carbs don't have the float-bowl issues nearly as bad as the Webber.


Then - you could look into doing propane. Which will leave you open to a cheap turbo upgrade in the future...

a rebuild kit is cheap and not too difficult.
it kept my stocker working ok until i replaced it w/a 32/36 weber(carbs direct).
i have to keep my stock stuff for a bi-annual smog game.
i'm real pleased w/the weber, but i've always had a soft spot for them.
the rochester adaption sounds interesting.
limited(dual 750 cfm dp's) holley experience.
side drafts also sound interesting.

'89 kick w/little motor, still got pieces of jeff's pucks, stan's sticks into 4.24:1 tcase, 31x10.5x15's, rear lockrite, kick power steering, some radios(kj6esv), bmw seat, other changes just because. done on the cheap.
