Front Diff Question!
« on: January 29, 2009, 06:54:13 PM »
I am looking to do the XL-7 front diff upgrade to my tracker. I was wondering what year XL-7 housing I need to get! And if for a manual or Auto! Any info and assistance would be greatly appreciated!

99+ (i think)
if you are looking to swap out the gears too you will want a manual setup to keep your gearing (assuming you have a 5 speed)

96 2 Door Tracker
4 door springs, Calmini 3"BL , Trailtough Mini spool , 31's
Plans: Jeffs  diff spacer, bumpers, smittybuilt 8k winch and XL7 iron Diff. housing swap

You need a front housing from an XL-7 and the front drop-out from a GV, both with manual transmissions. The gear ratio is irrelevent because yours is different and you need to regear the new front diff with your gears.
97 Sport
265/70-16s
2" lift
2.0 swap
I know...Pretty boring... FOR NOW...
