93 samurai EFI problems
« on: December 27, 2008, 09:37:43 AM »
i just bought a 93 samurai and i was getting way too much fuel. the exhaust stunk and lost nearly all power when driving. thought it might be the ECU but the mechanic said i needed a new injector. put one in and now it will only start if the timing is advanced all the way. even then it will only hold idle for a minute then cuts out and backfires. what to do? i live in the virgin islands so a mechanic is hard to come by.
thanks
jason

You should start by downloading the EFI supplement from http://www.suzukiinfo.com
2000 Vitara 1.6, 3+3 Lift, 33"MTs, 5:83s, LWB brakes, Winch, Snorkel, Safari Rack
1986 SJ413K PickUp, 1.6L conversion.
