Sidekick random idle
« on: December 22, 2008, 10:22:49 AM »
My sidekick runs and idles fine when it's cold, but when it gets to temperature it idles up and down from 1200rpm to 2000rpm.  It still runs fine but is very annoying.  I put an ohm meter on the Idle control valve and it read 6.8 when the manual specked it from 4.6-6.6 ohms.  Is this my problem or is it something else?

6.8 is close enough. Check all the vacuum lines and clean out the EGR passages. Also clean up all the earths.
