And will front struts and rear shocks from a 79-93  mustang work on the tracker ?

I don't believe the struts will fit.  You will probably want to drop the front diff, there is nice write-up and doing the drop yourself by BRD HNTR available at http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=22395.0

I swapped 93 two door springs for 96 four door springs, which only gave me about 1 - 1 1/2" lift.  If the newer 2002 springs give you that much great.  Watch for spring bow.  The more you shove the body up with springs the greater the angle between the spring pads.  I raised my spring pads on the outside by 1", but would go 1 1/2" if I did it again.  You will want to drop your diff, especially if your raise the outside of the spring pads.  I chose to drop all three mounts, but I believe Calmini only drops the front two mounts and lets it rotate up.  If you do that just remember to add oil with the diff level, or it may not last.

The ride is great.  Much improved from the 2" coil spacer lift.

With only 1-2" of lift, there's no need to drop the diff, the CV are good to 2-3" of drop.

Correct.  If you just raise the frame with the springs the CV's will handle it.  If you put spacers on the struts, or use OME struts, then you will have changed the potential drop from 2" to 4".  If he raised the outside of the spring pad, which will give another 1 - 2 inches of lift.  Depending on the aggressiveness of the driver and the terrain CV's will suffer.
The reason to raise the outside of the spring pad, is to make both spring pads somewhat parallel, and stop the spring from bowing out (it also gives lift).  On my tracker when I stuffed one side up and turned the spring would push the brake caliper and force the fluid out of it. and brakes would not work for two strokes of brakes.  As I have stock gears, I use the brakes a lot to hold position in the harder spots on the trail.  I like having my brakes always.

thanks guys ...  This tracker will not be beat off road ...   It's mainly to get to and from work ...  I will probably not be able to stop myself from messing around on jobsites ... But that will be the extent of it's off roaring ...  I have the tracker with yotas 5.29s locked front and rear with 4.24 case for real off roading :) ...brd hntr your write up does look helpfull I may rplace the rockers that way on my crawler ...  But like jerimiah said... I don't think I will need to drop my diff with just a few inches ... You have close to 5 all together don't you?
Thanks
Steve

I am running 12" to bottom of frame, and almost 15" to bottom of my rock rails, with 30" tires.

He is only running about 3" of lift at rest.  4 door springs, a 1" spacer and the spring pad lift with 30" tires. :)
