I'm getting ready to put new shocks on the back of my 99 Tracker and want to stiffen it up some.Thanks for any input.

Sorry link doesn't work for me, but I can guess.

If you're talking about the KYB GR-2 (aka Excel-G)  they are "kinda blah" stock replacements.

If you're talking about the KYB Gas-a-Just shocks, and you're not planning on raising your tracker, GET THEM.  I got them for mine and they really do stiffen it up.  It seems Gas-a-Justs are good higher-performance shocks at a reasonably economical price, without spending a fortune on Bilsteins or Konis.  I get them for all my family's cars (that have spring suspension - my bro's Lincoln has airbag suspension all around so I put Monroe Sensatracs on it).

if you are, however, planning a lift in the future, there may be more options available like Old Man Emu etc.

At least a brand who's made stiffer shock for Vitara/GV.


I checked all other brand, but I never checked Koni!   :-[
