Calmini V-6 Vitara Extreme
« on: August 31, 2008, 01:02:24 AM »
This may come as a surprise to some of you but the CALMINI V6 VITARA EXTREME has been sold. A couple of months ago, a fellow Zuk lover from Denver made an offer to buy my overly pampered pride and joy. After much foot dragging on my part, I agreed to sell it. The buyer has requested non disclosure concerning the price and I will honor that. Lets just say the offer was more than I paid Calmini for it and slightly less than I had in it after all my upgrades. And yes ZIG I surely did love that ride....TOO MUCH. I loved it so much I pampered the hell out of it, turning around on trails that might scratch it. So I am going back to my trusty 88 Samurai which has been playing second fiddle to the White Calmini Vitara. I'll see you all in Maob EJS 09 but it will just be me and my Sam.

PS Zig, don't be sad for me...I'm like a kid in the ZUK candy store with a pocket full of pennies  ;)

PPS Eric, I fully expect you to move this post...I just wanted you all to hear about the sale from me.

Yes, it did stem from my post of early August. To those of you who helped me find it, thanks. Most of all, thanks to Gary Hill. He was a total gentleman and honest throughout the transaction. He did all he could to make it an easy experience when my wife and I flew to California to pick up the Extreme Vitara and drive it back to Colorado. I can't give him enough credit for making this work and I think it came at a time he was ready to go in another direction and it was perfect for me. I've used it some here in Colorado and my wife and Grandson have both gone with me. They love it, too. What more could you ask for. With my health, I'm not able to do a build like this anymore so it is the perfect choice for us now. I hope Gary Hill has as much fun playing with his '88 as I know I will be getting from the Extreme Vitara. I'll try to get to Moab for the Easter doings just so you can see it again but I look forward to seeing you Suzuki people here in Colorado on the great trails we have. All for now and thanks again to Gary Hill. This was probably the best transaction I have been a part of thanks to him. See all of you on the trails.  Gary Hebenstreit
