Hey Everyone.

I've got an '02 Vitara that i put the boondox lift on (spacers and strut extenders) and it works well.

It does ride quite a bit stiffer than I'd like though.  Is there a way to soften this thing up, or do I need to look at going with a full blown kit like a calmini?

Input would be greatly appreciated.

people seem to feel that the ome springs improve ride quality along with providing lift, calmini will possibly ride even worse.  take 5psi outta your tires and it might feel better..

Yes, every report I have read says Calmini is stiffer than stock.

I have OME on my X-90, and can confirm that the ride is greatly improved (my regular passenger agrees) and they are worth every penny.

Yes (I think its 1.5 inches), it will obviously give less lift than the same with added spacers, but the ride will be better than anything else. 

Suspension lift in the front increases "road shock" to the body - the more the A-arms point down, the more road shock is communicated to the body, rather than being absorbed by the springs.  So any lift is a trade off against ride quality, but using OME springs and shocks/struts will buy you back more than you lose with the lift.

OME certainly seem to have their spring and damping rates sorted.
I have just had the OME kit fitted to my '98 V6 and I am well impressed with the ride, solid but not harsh, definitely a huge improvement over the stock setup.

I got 65mm front and 30mm rear of initial lift (before the springs have had a chance to settle) from the OME kit over the stock setup, with an alloy bullbar and a roof rack.

I'm considering putting 30mm spring spacers in the rear to get the tires out of the super-small wheel arches a bit further (what where Suzuki thinking when they designed the wheel arches on the gen. 2 GV's? ), and camber bolts in the front to sort out the positive camber after lift.

With OME struts and Boondox strut spacers you'd want to start thinking about the drop brackets for the front diff to save your CV's from checking out, the OME struts have a lot more down travel than stock.
