a neighbor has a early 80's SJ410 with a 1.0 liter, if he found a 1.6 8V, would it bolt up to the trans with an adapter kit like the samurai's going to a 1.6?  are the trans and t-cases the same as the sammy's? the guy on here is trying to sale a TT and i'm trying to talk him into keeping it.......  help him build it up and join us all out there... that to me would be awesome, so......  to the man with the green TT, check this out, and maybe the info givin in here would help you decide....  thanks for the input in advance guys....

There is no adapter for the 410 it has a different gearbox, much smaller than the 413. Pre 85 models also have a smaller transmiision tunnel with the holes for the shifters in different places too. It is possible to do the swap but you need to use a Sammy box and do some fabbing.
