Heater problem!!
« on: March 20, 2008, 06:48:23 AM »
Little problem here.... my switch for the heater is toast, a new one is not cheap 156.00$ cdn, and to find one in a junkyard is a pita!!! too much snow...

I've try too put a 3 way switch, work for a week and it melted the switch :o
i know that i got the good wire, and i also know that there are too much power too run just a switch. So i was thinking about a relay switch, that will work!!

My question is...how can i connect that so, that i will be able too use a 3 way switch??

I would give Hawk Suzuki a call about just getting a replacement part.  Otherwise what you want to do is setup a relay.  Have your three way switch run two different relays to route the power through.  That way they take the brunt of the power leaving just the minimum 12v current going through your switch.  :)
